Ultra Green® Film

As the demand for environmental integrity grows, GPA offers their answer to an eco-friendly substrate: Ultra Green® Film. Unlike traditional paper, it is manufactured without the use of trees, water or toxic agents including bleaching chemicals. The result is an environmentally responsible substrate that offers unrivaled visual quality, press performance and environmental impact.

Ultra Green® Film is made from inorganic mineral powders derived from stone (limestone or calcium carbonate) with a trace amount of non-toxic resin and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as a bonding agent. It is different from pulp papers because it has no grain, resulting in a smooth surface that promotes high color saturation and resolution. This unique substrate combines the printability and converting characteristics of paper with the durability of plastic in one amazing substrate.

Naturally resistant to scuffing, water, grease and oily substances, Ultra Green® Film is ideal for outdoor applications. Due to its distinctive characteristics, it offers antimicrobial protection, anti-static qualities, dimensional stability as well as resistance to ultra violet rays, so it will not yellow or become brittle in the sun. Ink usage is also significantly lower than pulp papers because of its unique composition. It is available in a variety of sheet sizes and gauges for a wide range of end-use applications.

Ultra Green® Film is the earth friendly, energy efficient, acid-free and 100% tree-free paper that is superior in performance, appearance, and aesthetics over traditional papers. Ask us how Ultra Green® Film can enhance your next eco-conscious film project!
